IEDC (KCG) & Enchanter brings together the “Young Mind Innovation Challenge”(YMIC) to ignite, imbibe and inspire the spirit of research, innovation and creativity among school and college students. The Challenge will provide a platform for students to converge their research philosophies into new products and prototypes. The experience gained through this Challenge will help the students gain confidence to pursue higher studies to become a researcher, scientist or to choose a career as an entrepreneur which is the need of the hour. Themes: 1. Alternate Energy Generation methods to meet the growing Domestic and Industrial needs 2. Innovative technologies for educating Rural India 3. Technological aid for physically and mentally challenged 4. Women safety 5. E-Waste management Any other project beneficial to the society will also be accepted. How to Participate? 1. Login in to www.ymic.in and register for the event. 2. You will get an acknowledgement mail within 48 hrs of registration along with the detailed procedure for buying the event ticket. 3. Contestants would be able to send in their abstracts only after purchasing the ticket and mentioning their ticket ID as the subject of their mail. 4. Shortlisted projects will be intimated through mail and should pay Rs.500 for Project registration. What do you get? Participate in the Grand Exhibition of YMIC. Loads of events and lots of fun! The campus can be reached easily through various modes of conveyance. We, at YMIC, intend to give you as much information as is possible to make your journey comfortable. From Chennai Central train station:The Park Town and Park local train stations lie at a walkable distance from the Chennai Central train station, from where you can take a train to the Thiruvanmiyur station. To reach Karapakkam from Thiruvanmiyur, you can take any of the above mentioned buses. There are a number of MTC buses that can help you reach KC Tech 221H is the direct bus that will bring you directly to Karapakkam You can also take any of these buses to reach Thiruvanmiyur – A1, from where you can switch to one of these buses – M119, T51, 21H in order to reach Karapakkam. From Chennai Moffussil Bus Terminus: There are direct buses that will take you to Karapakkam from CMBT – 570, 568C, 566 You can hire a taxi at the approximate price of Rs. 750 to reach Karapakkam From Airport: The airport is located 20 kms from the KC Tech Campus You can take a local train from the Tirusulam local train station along the Tambaram line, change trains at Park station and board a train along the Velachery-Beach line to the Thiruvanmiyur station from where you can take the mentioned buses to reach Karapakkam.
